THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE CENTRAL LIBRARY OF THE BULGARIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES TO THE CREATION OF DIGITAL RESOURCES WITH OPEN ACCESS WITHIN THE DEVELOPMENT OF BULGARIAN STUDIES ABROAD NATIONAL PROGRAMME

Abstract

The Central Library of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences has an extensive wealth of experience in the creation of digital resources with free access in the field of Bulgarian studies. Especially significant is its participation in the National research program Development and recognition of the Bulgarian studies abroad. The procession was made through the integral library automation system ALEPH500 and the resources are preserved on the DSpace platform. For better promotion of the results is used also the National e-infrastructure KLaDA-BG. An exceptional interest represent the recently digitized unique collections of the Bulgarian Exarchate in Istanbul, as well as the reprints of the library of Prof. Riccardo Picchio in Rome.
